2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee : Dodge is bringing back one of its most recognizable performance badges with the launch of the 2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee Launch Edition.
Built for drivers who want more than a powerful straight-line performer, the new Super Bee combines a 600-horsepower twin-turbocharged engine with upgraded brakes, adaptive suspension, wider tires and additional cooling hardware.
The Super Bee name first appeared on the Dodge Coronet in 1968 before moving to the Charger in 1971. For 2027, Dodge is using the badge to celebrate the Charger’s 60th anniversary while pushing the modern muscle car further into track-focused territory. It is also the most powerful Super Bee ever produced, although it makes its power from six cylinders rather than a traditional V8.
600-hp twin-turbo inline-six engine
Power comes from a revised version of Dodge’s 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged Hurricane inline-six, marketed as the SIXPACK High Output engine.
The Super Bee receives larger Garrett turbochargers, revised engine software, improvements to the intake and charge-air system, and a reworked exhaust.
The result is an SAE-certified 600 horsepower and 531 pound-feet of torque. Dodge says peak torque arrives earlier in the rev range and remains available across a broad band, helping the Charger deliver stronger acceleration when exiting corners or launching from a standstill.
The engine is paired with a TorqueFlite 880RE eight-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is standard, but drivers can select rear-wheel drive using a dedicated button on the performance steering wheel. This gives the car a more traditional muscle-car character when conditions and driving surroundings allow it.
Performance figures
Dodge claims the 2027 Charger Super Bee can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds and complete the quarter-mile in 11.8 seconds. Those figures make it the quickest and fastest gasoline-powered Charger in the current lineup, according to the automaker.
The Super Bee also introduces dedicated Track and Drag modes for the SIXPACK-powered Charger. Track Mode adjusts the steering, suspension, transmission, powertrain and stability-control settings for circuit driving.
Drag Mode focuses on launches, weight transfer and traction at the strip. Launch Control and Torque Reserve are also included to help build boost and improve repeatability during hard starts.

Chassis upgrades aim at faster lap times
Dodge has made substantial changes beneath the Super Bee’s aggressive bodywork. The car uses dual-valve adaptive dampers designed to provide a comfortable ride during normal driving while offering greater control during hard cornering.
The front spring rates have been increased by 12 percent, while rear spring rates rise by 6 percent. Dodge has also strengthened several suspension bushings and fitted a stiffer rear stabilizer bar. These changes are intended to sharpen steering response, reduce body movement and limit understeer on a race circuit.
The wheel and tire package is equally serious. Standard 20-by-11-inch forged wheels are wrapped in wide 305-section Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3 summer tires. The larger contact patch should provide improved grip during acceleration, braking and cornering, although owners will need to remember that these tires are designed primarily for warm-weather performance.
Bigger brakes and improved cooling
The 2027 Charger Super Bee is equipped with 16-inch Brembo vented brake rotors at all four corners. Six-piston calipers handle braking duties at the front, while four-piston calipers work at the rear.
Dodge says the larger brake package offers substantially better resistance to fade than the braking systems used on other SIXPACK-powered Chargers. Dedicated brake ducts and revised airflow management are intended to keep temperatures under control during repeated track sessions.
Cooling is another major part of the Super Bee’s performance package. The model receives auxiliary radiators, revised air paths and additional thermal-management hardware for the engine, turbochargers, transmission and other key components. Dodge says cooling capacity has increased by more than 50 percent in one of the main systems.
Exterior design and cabin details
The Super Bee Launch Edition is available in three exterior colors: Sucker Punch, Shady and Diamond Black. Each version receives model-specific graphics, Super Bee badging, a revised front fascia and performance-focused aerodynamic elements.
The front splitter and rear spoiler are not merely styling additions. Dodge says they help manage airflow, improve stability and support the car’s cooling requirements at higher speeds. Hyper Lime brake calipers and gloss-black wheels add contrast to the exterior.
Inside, the Charger Super Bee receives cloth high-back performance seats with embroidered Super Bee logos and colorful contrast stitching. The performance steering wheel includes larger paddle shifters and the dedicated rear-wheel-drive control. A Super Bee instrument-panel badge provides another reminder that this is a limited-production model rather than a regular Charger trim.
The car can also be equipped with Dodge’s Drive Experience Recorder. The system uses a forward-facing 1080p camera recording at 60 frames per second and combines video with driving data, allowing owners to review laps, launches and other performance runs.
